The final of the Brogmaker Ladies Football senior championship takes place this Sunday when Railyard and Freshford meet at Nowlan Park. Railyard are chasing a fifth title in a row while Freshford will be determined to halt the champion's dominance and stake their claim for the ladies senior title having claimed the junior crown in 2008.

Laura Scriven and Catherine Rudenko (both from St Laurence O'Toole AC) competed with distinction at the Leinster cross-country championships held in the picturesque grounds of Avondale house, Rathdrum, Wicklow on Sunday last. Laura finished in 4th place in the ladies novice race while Catherine was 12th. These girls were strongly supported by team-mates Pamela Donoghue, Kathleen Kinsella & Maria O'Rourke in the ladies race.
