A new Cancer Care Centre at University Hospital Galway, to be included in the HSE’s National Service Plan (NSP)next year has been welcomed by leading surgeon Prof Michael Kerin.

Galway footballer Eoghan Kerin, joined other players from the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) to help launch the fifth National Children’s Hospice Week campaign, which this year runs from May 20-26 and is themed “Moments that Matter.” This focus highlights how precious time is for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and that capturing and savouring the big and small moments every day can accumulate into valuable memories to cherish for years to come.
