I suppose one way of getting ourselves through the current problems is to support other Irish industries and keep some money in circulation here. The Susie Long Hospice Fund will hold a church-gate collection next weekend, Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November outside churches throughout Kilkenny city and county. All proceeds from all of the collections will go directly to the Susie Long Hospice Fund, which seeks to raise funds and awareness to build a 10-bed hospice in Kilkenny for the Kilkenny and Carlow region.
