Galway Motor Club held a well attended and successful launch of the Corrib Oil Galway International Rally on Friday night last in the Connacht Hotel. Among the attendees were the Mayor of Galway City, Cllr Eddie Hoare, Cathaoirleach Galway County, Cllr Liam Caroll, as well as representatives of Corrib Oil, the Connacht Hotel and Rallying for Down Syndrome. The event was expertly compered by Michael Lyster of formerly of RTE.

The 2023 Corrib Oil Galway International Rally is four weeks away and already 130 entries have been received for this annual highlight on the motoring calendar.

The entry of more than 100 cars has been seeded by the organisers and the rally winner is likely to come from one of the top 20 seeds.
