A group of German travel journalists has been exploring Galway city and Connemara, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. They were here to experience our outdoor and adventure activities and, in turn, to showcase these and some of the many things to see and do in Galway and inspire their German readers and listeners to come and follow in their footsteps.

The Inishbofin Summer school is Ireland’s longest running environmental school, which has welcomed a host of scientists, poets, writers, artists to work with teachers and the general public over the last 35 years. The school, which was first established by Leo Hallissey and Clare O‘Toole in 1984, has grown to become a highlight in the island’s yearly calender.
