Martin McIntyre, founder and proprietor of SISM, has an extensive range of education and experience in all areas of sports injury, medicine, and sports conditioning for recreational and elite footballers and athletes. As a leading researcher and lecturer with numerous publications in the British Journal of Sports Medicine and Journal of Sports Sciences, McIntyre grew his experience having qualified with a MSc sports injury (medicine), University of Sheffield, MSc Gaelic football, IT Tralee, BSc (hons) sports science, John Moores University, HDip science and football, John Moores University. He has worked with Kerry senior, u21, and minor development squads since 1997, IT Tralee (Sigerson Cup winners 1999, 2000, 2001), Roscommon (Senior Connacht winners, 2010), and minor football teams (All Ireland Winners 2006), along with many more county and club teams. SISM provides a range of services.

Mayo athlete nominated in the 2008 National Athletics Awards

One of Mayo’s top young athletes is in with a chance of walking away with an award at next weekend’s Athletics Ireland National Athletics Awards. Pamela Hughes from Westport AC is nominated following her impressive performances this season. The second annual National Athletics Awards, which are in association with Waterford Crystal, will honour the best Irish athletes, clubs and coaches from across the country.
