Following the success of being named winner of the Irish Independent Regional Excellence Award 2016, along with strong sales results from its November auction, O’Donnellan & Joyce has launched its Wild Atlantic Way Christmas property auction, the seventh and final auction of the year, on December 16 in the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway.

O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers recorded €3 million in auction sales on Friday November 11 in its Wild Atlantic Way winter auction. The auction took place in the Harbour Hotel to a full house of keen buyers. There was standing room only for prospective owner occupiers and investors, who were given a superb selection of property to choose from, especially in Galway city.

St Michael’s Club was formed in 1956 after Galway won the All-Ireland football final. The first AGM was held in Tom Connolly’s house in Lower Shantalla Road, and they played their first game in 1957. Among those who founded the club were Pa Boyle (whose brainchild it was), Mick O’Toole, John Duignan, Mick Higgins, Liam Cunningham, and Sergeant O’Toole. They started as a dual club, but after a few years they concentrated solely on football.
