Ballina man gets eight months for shocking incidents

Judge Conal Gibbons sentenced a Ballina man to a total of eight months in prison after convicting him of a number of offences. Judge does not impose custodial sentence on youth who robbed nun

Judge Conal Gibbons, convicted and fined a youth who stole €100 from a nun in Ballina District Court this week. The previous week Judge Gibbons had remanded the youth in St Patrick’s Institution for a week, so he could hear from the probation service which had been working with the youth previously.
