Senior students take part in Galway’s first Hackathon

Fifth and sixth year computer science students from around Galway took part in Ireland's first ever Sixth Year Hackathon in the PorterShed2 in Galway recently. Students from St Joseph's College - The Bish, Dominican College - Taylor's Hill, Clarin College, and Tullamore College attended the event.

Local man Liam McDwyer had dreamed of reaching Everest Base Camp since he was a young boy and read a book about the Himalayas. Over forty years later, and with encouragement from his wife, he decided that 2022 was the year in which he would set about making his dream come true.
