Local Writer/Director Orlagh Heverin, a native of Castlebar, won an RTE/Galway Film Centre Short Script Award in 2008 for the short film that she wrote, Losing Memories. In March 2009, Orlagh directed the short film, which was shot in Castlebar, Ballintubber and Louisburgh.
