Galway becomes Ireland’s Comedy Capital this October Bank Holiday, with the nation’s biggest comedy festival taking over the city’s pubs and theatres for seven nights of fun, laughter, mischief, and merriment.

Fresh from hosting the Comedy Arena at Electric Picnic, Adam Burke arrives in Galway having been at the heart of the comedy scene in Ireland for over 15 years. The mastermind behind Bray Comedy Festival, host for hugely successful Bingo Loco and the man behind Hardy Har comedy club at the Harbour Bar, Adam has graced stages like the 3Arena, Vicar Street, Cork Opera House and The Royal Theatre. He's also performed at the likes of Electric Picnic, All Together Now and At The Manor.

A pop-up comedy club, featuring the very best of Irish stand up comedy launched last week and will run on Thursdays until June 30.

Outspoken Australian comedy legend Steve Hughes is returning to Ireland with his first full length show in six years. A world class comedy performer and former thrash metal drummer, Steve is known the globe over for his hard hitting, take no prisoners stand up. Having lived here back in 1999 Steve is no stranger to Ireland or indeed Galway, where some of his Roisin Dubh appearances achieved heights other comedians can only dream of.
