LIKE THE Cranberries’ ‘Dreams’ in a previous age, the thumping guitar of Heathers’ ‘Remember When’ has become entwined with Ireland’s tourism industry. Since Heathers’ twins Ellie and Louise McNamara began playing music in 2007, their career has had a meteoric rise.

DURING THE last winter Ireland experienced some of the harshest weather in living memory. Last November excessive flooding devastated the west and southwest of the country. Galway, Clare and Cork were among the worst affected areas.

Following on from their hugely successful single ‘Remember When’ which Fáilte Ireland used as this year’s anthem, Heathers are now on tour and coming to The Ruby Room on Saturday August 21.
