Three Mayo community groups have been selected by their local EBS office to receive €500 in funding — Cairde Cran Mor; Ballina Rugby Football Club; and Castlebar RFC.

The EBS Community Fund results for Kilkenny were announced today with Ceart Therapy Rehabilitation Health Support Service having been selected by the local EBS office to receive €500 in funding.

EBS has announced that nominations for the EBS Community Fund will be extended until Friday November 11.

EBS today reminded Mayo people to nominate their local cause to be in with the chance to win €10,000 from the EBS Community Fund. EBS is looking for people to nominate their favourite community group, club, or cause and in doing so bring the overall prize fund of €10,000 to their community. Nominations are open to all members of the public and can be made by calling into any EBS office or online at www.ebs.ie. Entries will be accepted until October 24.

A Westmeath-based community group has been shortlisted to be in with a chance of winning the overall EBS National Community Fund prize of €10,000 in funding. SWEETS was shortlisted by a panel of independent representatives as an organisation which makes an important contribution to the local community. The overall winner of the EBS Community Fund will be selected by the general public through an online vote at www.ebs.ie. Votes will be accepted up until January 31.

Temple Villa AFC and South Westmeath Employment Education and Training Services (SWEETS) Ltd, both from Westmeath, celebrated this week after they became the lucky recipients of €500 in funding from the EBS Community Fund.
