Last night was a busy night for the volunteer crew at Galway Lifeboat Station, who were requested to launch to three incidents in rapid succession.

The crew of the Galway RNLI lifeboat launched on Sunday after a report of a windsurfer in difficulty off Salthill and again on Monday morning to a boat in distress off Ballinacourty Pier.

In recognition of their dedication and commitment of time, energy and skills, seven members of the Galway RNLI crew were presented with long service awards for achieving 50, 100, 150 and 200 services.
