In the enchanting kingdom of Renmore Fairy Land, life is anything but ordinary for young Jack Wiggles (Dumebi Asiegbu) and his best friend, Milky Moo the Cow (Vanessa Walsh). With the kingdom watched over by the ever-sparkly Fairy Flowers (Cat Ryan) and ruled by the wonderfully regal Queen Apricot (Ellen Hession) and Princess Rosebud (Emily Egan), the valley is bursting with magic, mischief, and music.

Award-winning duo directors Brian and Seán Power, choreographer Declan J Gardiner and musical director John O’Dea have prepared a huge cast, including a full chorus, with Tweens and Smurfs to add music and dance to the story.

After the amazing 2017 production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr, Galway’s annual summer musical this year produced by Twin Productions, and running at the Town Hall from August 22 to 26, is The Wiz – based on the ever-popular The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L Frank Baum. First performed in 1974, The Wiz features a book by William F Brown, music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls and all the lovable and wicked characters in a funky musical rendering of the classic tale. The show won seven Tony Awards when it was staged on Broadway, where it ran for four years, and it has since gone on to become a cult classic.
