Plastic brick designed by local students gives hope for construction of homes in poor countries
A multidisciplinary team of students primarily from colleges in the west has won the Irish leg of Invent for the Planet (IFTP) 2025 for their plastic brick prototype solution titled “Creating sustainable housing solutions for expanding poverty areas”.
Three ATU teams compete in prestigious Enterprise Ireland National Student Entrepreneur Awards
Over one hundred students (40 teams) across Atlantic Technological University (ATU) recently competed in the ATU Entrepreneur Awards of the 2023 Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreur Awards competition. Eleven teams from a wide range of disciplines won awards in the ATU competition and three teams will now go on to compete in the next stage of the national competition.
