Damian Kilbane, Chairman of the CFÁA, Environment and Infrastructure sub committee, said he was “delighted to see that this vital amenity for the children of Achill and beyond has been developed”. In recent years, he said, the original facility that was there had fallen into a state of disrepair and was wholly inadequate. Damian outlined furthermore that the high numbers using the playground already are testament to the success of the development.
