Buyers will be out in force to view the incredible selection of properties going under the auction hammer. The auction is set for Thursday, March 1, in the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road.

In 1959 the poet Richard Murphy renovated the black-sailed Ave Maria, a traditional Galway hooker, which he used to ferry visitors to Inishboffin, and for a day’s fishing. Record prices were achieved for Galway city properties in a packed auction room with more than 500 people in attendance.
