The organisation will feature in a local advertising campaign, across bus stops, billboards and radio in Co. Supervalu and Centra stores in Galway have announced over six million returns in Galway since the introduction of the Deposit Return Scheme in February. Nationwide there have been 125 million returns to Supervalu and Centra stores since its introduction.

Jim Higgins, MEP for Ireland North West, has called for the Environment Minister Phil Hogan to consider introducing a new system in conjunction with the major bottlers which would see consumers get 10 cents back for every glass bottle they return to the supermarket.
