Professor Mark Tushnet, a world-renowned constitutional expert from Harvard Law School, will be the keynote speaker at the seventh Annual Conference of the Irish Society of Comparative Law (ISCL). This conference, organised by the NUI Galway’s School of Law in collaboration with the Irish Centre for Human Rights, will be held from 23-24 May at Áras Moyola, NUI Galway.

A target of €400,000 in business and private contributions has been set by the campaign to rebuild Ballinrobe Town Hall. Locals have been urged to support the effort to build a town hall on the site where the previous one existed from 1886 to 1996. A variety of support options was outlined at the campaign’s fund-raising launch in Flannery’s Bar and Restaurant this week.

Dr Bryan McMahon, retired Judge of the High Court and former part-time Professor of Law at NUI Galway, recently launched a new report, Clinical Legal Education in Ireland: Progress and Potential.
