In ways the play’s journey has paralleled that of the Magdalenes; Eclipsed was one of the very first works to alert the world to their story and its periodic revivals in the intervening years, both here and abroad, helped keep that story in the public eye.

World’s first computer chess unit to appear at NUIG digital games event

The world’s first computer chess unit will make an appearance at NUI Galway’s Coding Computer Games – Past, Present & the Future event on Saturday March 2.

Chess workshops

Chess workshops will take place in the Le Chéile Family Resource Centre, Castlebar, starting on Saturday October 22. The course will run for eight weeks from 5pm to 7pm.
