A Polish man who randomly kicked and banged on a 71-year-old woman’s door while he was drunk was before Castlebar District Court this week.

West of Ireland home helps to march in Castlebar this Sunday

SIPTU home helps and their supporters from across the west of Ireland will march on Sunday, November 25, in Castlebar to protest against cuts to home help services. The workers will assemble in the church car park, Chapel Street, at 1.30pm and march to Market Square.

If you have been affected by suicide you would be most welcome to an evening in the Family Centre, Chapel Street, Castlebar, which will be hosted by families who themselves have experienced a suicide. They will speak of how they are trying to cope and face into the future. The get-together is on Wednesday October 10 starting at 7.30pm.
