Parent assertiveness

Many children are very confident these days. Encouraging your children to be confident is important but sometimes children can easily move from confidence into trying to exert control over parents. A six week course on parent assertiveness is being held by the Family Centre at Chapel Street, Castlebar. The course will look at ways in which parents can teach children to be respectful and follow direction without allowing themselves to be compromised. The course will examine how parents can be assertive, direct, and open without being aggressive. The course runs for one night a week for six weeks starting at 8pm on Tuesday October 13.
