A civic reception is to be hosted in honour of Kilkenny hurling and camogie teams who brought the county such glory on several occasions this year.

Cumann Camógaíochta na nGael is running two coaching workshops in November. The workshops are entitled, ‘Coaching the Tackle’ and ‘Let’s Get Started’ (a nursery/fundamental workshop).  

The 2008 camogie All-stars were named on Saturday night at a banquet in the City West, Hotel. All-Ireland champions Cork gained seven awards on the night. While Kilkenny’s Aoife Neary made the forward line in this years All Star camogie team.

Camogie president Joan O’Flynn has announced the establishment of the association’s first Player Welfare Committee.
