The Athlone 3/4 marathon is a fantastic Dublin City Marathon preparation event. It’s four weeks before the city event and provides an ideal stepping stone from the half-marathon distance. Ireland’s only 3/4 marathon route is 19.664 miles and starts and finishes at the Glasson Hotel and Golf Club. The course takes in magnificent lakeside views around Lough Ree, quiet country roads, and local historical sites.
