Blas Na Gaillimhe - A Taste of Galway is a new food network that celebrates the unique hospitality that Galway offers throughout the year. BBC Good Food Magazine has named Galway as its top destination for foodies in 2020. The city made it to the top of the annual list as it prepares to embark on a year-long European Capital of Culture 2020 programme, with food culture playing a major part of the planned events.

Michelin-star Galway restaurant Aniar was honoured this week with its inclusion on the new 50 Best Discovery website. The platform was launched this month by the people behind the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

Michelin starred Aniar has been named the Best Restaurant in Connacht at the Food and Wine Awards, announced at the weekend.

Back by popular demand, the new edition of Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Guide - The Best of the Best, the famous “glovebox bible”, is a highly selective, independently assessed guide to the very best of Irish food and hospitality.

The 2017 Galway Food Festival (to run April 13-17 April during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend) was launched on Monday in Caprice at Church Lane, Galway and it features a mouthwatering programme of events.
