If three is a magic number the third Westport Food Festival, which was launched this week, will put a spell on food enthusiasts young and old. Taking place from September 6 - 8, the community-based programme of events includes many new and some old favourites, with something for every pocket and palate.

Westport drama group beat the recession blues with Galway performance of classic play

St Patricks Drama Group Westport, a non-profit organisation founded in 1964, are coming to Galway next week with their newest production Widows Paradise. This three-act comedy, written by Sam Cree, is one of the most entertaining plays ever staged by the group and will transport the audience to nostalgic moments of the 60s and will be staged at the Town Hall on Thursday June 2.

St Patrick’s drama group defy recession blues with new play

St Patrick’s Drama Group Westport are back with the season of spring in their step and a brand new production. Widows Paradise is a three act comedy written by Sam Cree and it promises to be one of the funniest plays the group have staged in years. The play will take to the stage in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on Friday May 13 2011 at 8pm sharp, with tickets costing from €12 to €15.
