Something In The Water, Headford’s community arts festival, is returning for its fourth consecutive year, running from Wednesday, September 30th, to Sunday, October 4th. The five-day programme will bring music, theatre, literature, film, dance and visual art to venues in the North Galway town, including utilising vacant premises that will be reinvigorated for the festival.

Galway’s international literary magazine, Crannóg, will launch its 65th issue next Friday, September 25 in the The Crane Bar on Sea Road, at 6.30pm.

Crannóg is published by WordsOnTheStreet, and appears in March and September. Each issue features about 10 short stories and 35 poems, often with emphasis on Galway’s writers, plus informative and enlightening interviews. The main interviewee for the current issue is poet and playwright Dermot Bolger.
