Kilkenny City Harriers man, Brian Maher, had a useful workout at the Adidas Frank Duffy 10 Mile Road Race in the Phoenix Park on Saturday last. Competing over the hilly course and coping with a strong gusty wind made the running difficult and rendered time comparisons irrelevant. Maher performed well and coming home in third place he was the first of the Irish runners to cross the finish line.
