O’Donnellan & Joyce recorded the largest volume of auction sales this year to date, when it held its second Wild Atlantic Way property auction on Wednesday May 4. The company recorded €9 million in property sales on the day. Properties throughout the western seaboard from Galway to Donegal and Galway down to Kerry went under the auction hammer. The auction room in the Harbour Hotel, Galway, was packed to capacity with more than 700 people in attendance at the morning and afternoon sessions.

The Irish Franchise Awards celebrate 21 years this year and it is one of the longest running business award ceremonies in Ireland. 230 guests attended the black-tie gala event hosted by Newstalk’s Jonathan Healy. Mr Tony Fitzpatrick was honoured with a Special Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.

AIB has announced a five year partnership with Galway City Innovation District (GCID), a new initiative supporting start-ups and business innovation in Galway City and the West of Ireland. The initiative brings together Galway Chamber of Commerce, Galway City Council, NUIG and GMIT to form the GCID.
