A selection of bands will hit the stage to present a tribute to ace guitarist Dave Prim on Friday November 25, in the Set Theatre Langtons. The night of entertainment is to acknowledge the roll that Dave played in the music scene over the last 40 years or more.
Playing on the night will be many of the bands that Dave has played with over the years including The 5th Degree, Miss Brown to You, The Dave Prim Band, Reel to Reel, Contraband, Fly by Night, Phoenix, Anthony and Bernie McCauley as well as singers Bobbie Carey and Rory Moran (The Word ).
MC for the evening is Smiley Bolger. Many people will remember The 5th Degree from the late 60s early 70s years of The Carlton while The Dave Prim Band regularly packed venues all over Ireland during that period also David O’Darby will bring back memories of Kytelers Tudor rooms in the early seventies with Contraband, Fly By Night, Miss Brown To You, and Reel to Reel reminding all of the great days of Greg Flannery and The Carmel Hotel gigs.
Nights like this only come along every 40 years or so. This is a musical extravaganza that is not to be missed.
