Mario’s takeaway and diner’s grand opening will take place on January 31, 2010. The opening will take place in conjunction with the Irish Meningitis Trust and is expected to be a fantastic day out for all the family.
Mario’s have a host of entertainment lined up for the day including an appearance by former Munster rugby hero Anthony Foley.
Children will also enjoy face painting, balloons, Monty The Duck and freebies on offer throughout the grand opening. Car enthusiasts will delight in the array of vintage cars that will be on display at Mario’s. Road Trouble will also perform on the day. This three-piece blues and rock band are made up of Pierre Morrissey, Sam Moylan, and Alan Byrne and are sure to keep the crew well entertained.
Mayor Malcolm Noonan and rugby star Anthony Foley will cut the ribbon at Mario’s to mark the official opening of the very successful restaurant which is located opposite Lidl.
All profits from the event which takes place from 12pm until 5pm will be donated directly to the Meningitis trust attendees. BEAT FM will also broadcast live from Mario’s.
Along with the entertainment there will be a variety of competitions. One of those competitions involves eating as many hot dogs as possible! The winner will be given free hot dogs for the year at Mario’s.
