From Kells to Kindle

From Kells to Kindle — a unique exhibition on books and book production through the ages, will take place at Mayo County Library from Tuesday May 1 to Saturday May 5 inclusive.

Mayo people are asked to register their toddlers now on www.barnardos.ie. The Danone Big Toddle for Barnardos is a fun sponsored walk for toddlers and an enjoyable way to raise funds to support the vital work that Barnardos does with children and families in communities all over Ireland.

Special Olympics’ annual collection

Special Olympics Ireland’s annual collection day, sponsored by eircom, will take place today (Friday April 27). Some 200 volunteers will take to the streets of Castlebar, Ballina, Swinford, Kiltimagh, Ballinrobe, Westport, Belmullet, Ballyhaunis, and Claremorris to collect.
