A six weeks walking programme entitled “Get Active Clogher” (In association with Mayo Sports Partnership and Operation Transformation.)  is being organised at Clogher Heritage Centre commencing on Saturday January 17. There will be a short induction session and registration on Saturday January 17 with registration at 9.45 am and walk starting at 10.30a.m. There will be walk each Saturday on the Clogher Bog Loop Walk from January 17 to February 21 commencing at Clogher Heritage Centre at 10.30am. BirdWatch Mayo, in conjunction with the Mayo Naturalist Field Club, is hosting a talk on the birds of Killala this Saturday November 29. The talk will take place at the Joe Keane Creative Centre, which is located opposite the entrance to the Round Tower, starting at 11am, and is followed by an outing to Killala Harbour and Ross Strand to view the birds of the area. The event will be for about four hours, participants are advised to wear suitable clothing and bring a flask and snack. The event is free of charge. Davitts Winter 5k series

Would you like to walk, walk/jog, jog or run? Over the next three Sundays November 30, December 7, and December 14, there will be a 5k walk/run starting in Irishtown village at 10am. This event is suited to everyone of all fitness levels. Whether you just want to stroll or sprint this event is for you. The cost of the three events is just €15 and all money goes towards the Davitts GAA Club Building Fund. The 5k series is limited to 150 participants so booking in advance is highly recommended. Entry on the day will cost €8 per event for adults and €5 for children if there are places available. School musical in Swinford

The students of Scoil Muire and Padraig, Swinford presents the musical Back to the 80’s over three nights from Thursday December 4 to Saturday December 6 in the school gym.
