Open night at Castlebar Tennis Club

Castlebar Tennis Club are holding an open night for adults, this evening Friday 23 January next between 8pm and 10pm. If you're thinking of taking up tennis, this is your chance to try it out at our state of art facilities at Lough Lannagh Road, Castlebar. Following on from the success of Operation Transformation Mayo last year, Clogher Environmental Group is continuing with the walking programme entitled Get Active Clogher, each Saturday commencing at Clogher Heritage Centre at 10.30am. This walking programme is organised in liaison with Mayo Sports Partnership and Operation Transformation and the campaign is also supported by Mayo County Council in conjunction with Mayo Rural Alliances.

Clann Machua Drama Group are busy rehearsing for their production of Conversations on a Homecoming which they will present in the Townhall Theatre in Kiltimagh from Thursday, February 19 to Saturday, February 21. This iconic Tom Murphy Play was written in 1985 and celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year and is set in a pub small town in east Galway.

If you have arthritis or fibromyalgia and live in the Castlebar area why not start the New Year off by joining one of the adapted exercise classes or walking groups. Exercise is the best way to help manage pain and maintain mobility. It is also a great way to develop better fitness and have some fun. The walking group takes place on Tuesdays at 6.15pm, meeting at Castlebar Tennis Club, and the adapted Pilates group meets on Fridays at 6.15pm in Castlebar Tennis Club. Common sense parenting course in Castlebar

A common sense parenting course for parents of children aged from two years to five years will start in Le Cheile, Castlebar, on Wednesday January 28 for seven weeks.
