Themed anti-depression Irish dance video to be filmed in Galway in November

An Irish dance video is to be filmed in Galway this November to highlight the fact that if people pull together they can help those suffering from depression or anxiety. The video which is entitled Alone is the brainchild of Knocknacarra native Kieran Hardiman, who has been involved with Irish dancing all his life, both competitively and professionally.

A FASCINATING story connected to Oscar Wilde arrives at the Town Hall Theatre next week with Brendan Murphy’s Kicking Oscar’s Corpse. Set against the backdrop of WWI, the play centres on a libel case brought about by the dancer Maud Allan against the right wing British MP Noel Pemberton-Billing in 1918.
