The Faith Christian Fellowship church, one of Galway city’s longest established African churches, will celebrate its 10th birthday this weekend.

The outstanding quarter-final between Tuam Stars and either Cortoon Shamrocks or Mountbellew/Moylough and Micheal Breathnachs could not be fixed due to the ongoing shenanigans with Mountbellew/Moylough’s appeal.

The Galway under 16 ladies football team regained the Connacht title by beating Mayo on a scoreline of 5-15 to 1-13 at Hyde Park in Roscommon on Wednesday. Four of Sunday’s games are down as double headers at Corofin and Tuam, with Carraroe and Annaghdown on in Pearse Stadium. There will be extra time in any of the games that end in a draw.
