Throughout the month of May, Áras Inis Gluaire will be hosting events to mark the national annual Bealtaine festival. All these events are free and are an opportunity for older people to get involved in their local arts centre. The festival kicks off on Wednesday May 8 at 3pm when they will open their art in the afternoon showcase. This is a collection of paintings by a group of men who have been painting in the centre every Monday afternoon. Go along and see these fantastic pieces.
