Eight Mayo teens have graduated from Foróige’s Leadership for Life Programme, accredited by the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). They were awarded with a Foundation Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action in NUIG last Saturday, April 2.

Jessalyn Jennings, aged 13, from Brickens Foróige club, took one of the two top places in last Saturday’s regional section of the Aldi Foróige National Junior Baking Finals competition, held in Moate Community Secondary School. This now puts Jessalyn through to compete in the National Finals, taking place in the Aldi tent at the National Ploughing Championships from September 17 to 19 next.
