Áine Lally appointed as TG4’s Communications Manager

TG4 has announced that Áine Lally has been appointed as the broadcaster’s new Communications Manager. Áine, who has over twenty years experience as a broadcast journalist and newscaster with Nuacht TG4/RTÉ, began her television career in the 1990s in TG4’s Communications Department working with former Deputy Chief Executive Pádraic Ó Ciardha.

TG4 to broadcast new Science on Screen documentary tonight

RTÉ News haso announced the appointment of Galway-native Ailbhe Conneely as its new Social Affairs & Religion Correspondent. For the past 17-years Ailbhe has worked as a news reporter across all RTÉ platforms, including as a member of RTÉ’s political staff for seven years, reporting on events in the Houses of the Oireachtas and the European Parliament.

New CEO appointed to Western Development Commission

The Western Development Commission announced that Tomás Ó Síocháin has been appointed by the Board of the WDC as Chief Executive Officer. Tomás joins the organisation from NUI Galway, where he was External Engagement Programme Manager, having previously spent more than 14 years as an editor and journalist with RTÉ and TG4.
