Local dog rescue charity MADRA has called on members of the public for their support during a period of unprecedented pressure on their services over the past fortnight.

A dog adoption day will take place at Trusty Pet Pals dog daycare centre in Briarhill Business Park on Saturday April 20 from 12 noon to 4pm. The adoption day, organised by local dog charity MADRA, situated in Connemara, invites parties interested in adopting a dog, to discuss with the MADRA team and to meet some of the dogs and pups that are currently looking for their new homes. Those looking to foster a dog or puppy should also attend and speak to a MADRA representative.

A dog adoption day will take place this weekend at Trusty Pet Pals dog day care centre in Briarhill Business Park. The event, organised by MADRA Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption, will take place on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

As many as 20 rescue dogs were settling in to their new homes over the weekend thanks to a 24-hour dog adoption drive organised by local charity MADRA.

Ireland’s first 24 hour dog adoption event takes place on tomorrow Friday August 24 and Saturday August 25. Organised by Galway dog rescue charity MADRA, the event will take place from 8am to 8pm each day at the Trusty Pet Pals dog daycare centre in Briarhill.

Dog lovers will descend on the Black Box in Galway this weekend for Ireland’s only dog expo, in aid of Connemara-based rescue charity MADRA.

A new indoor Christmas fair is to take place on Sunday December 20 in Leisureland, Salthill. A ‘Winter Wonderland’ awaits as visitors are urged to go and soak up the atmosphere, browse the market stalls, visit Father Christmas in Santa’s grotto, and enjoy homemade food, mulled wine, and hot chocolate.
