Galway Golf Club’s Eddie McCormack (+3) has been included in the team to represent Ireland in the Home Internationals that take place at Ashburnham Golf Club, Wales from August 11 to 13. The Cavan golfer, who plays out of the Galway club, has enjoyed consistent form throughout 2010 - a beaten finalist in the West of Ireland, third-round leader in the East of Ireland championship, and two singles wins for Connacht in the recent interprovincial series at Ballinrobe Golf club.

Strikers win K-Bowls bowling league

K-Bowl, Kilkenny’s first and only bowling alley and entertainment centre, recently held its bowling league presentation night. The league took place over 10 weeks and consisted of nine teams, on average there were four contestants on each team. The league was a huge success and attracted a great crowd. The suspense was palpable on the night as the top three teams battled it out for the title.
