Supporters making their way to Croke Park for Sunday’s big games may want to leave some extra time for their journey or choose an alternative route, with two major athletics events taking place between Mayo and Croke Park. The annual Longford Marathon is scheduled to start on Sunday morning, with a route that will include the Tarmonbarry to Longford road which will be a main artery to Dublin for Mayo supporters. The marathon will see competitors setting off from Longford between 8.30am and 10am, with an expected finishing time of between 1pm and 4pm for all competitors.
