A new show from Little John Nee is always to be savoured and, on September 4, Druid’s Mick Lally Theatre hosts the premiere of Radio Rosario, a serious comedy about frustration, foreboding, and fulfilment, and an ode to “the magical wireless”.

THE LAUNCH for this year’s Galway Theatre Festival took place on Monday at a lively gathering in BiteClub in Upper Abbeygate Street. A large and enthusiastic crowd gathered to mark the occasion, and between sips of prosecco and tasty canapés, the assembled guests pored over their programmes and amiably chatted about the many attractions on offer.
LITTLE JOHN Nee presents his new show Talking Derry Boat, at the Town Hall Theatre studio tomorrow and Saturday, in what is the first of three shows at the venue, the others being The Church of Chill in March and Ribbons, a collaboration with Laura Sheeran, in April.
AS 2015 exits stage left, 2016 awaits it cue and the year ahead in the Town Hall has much for theatre-goers to look forward to. First out of the blocks, on January 15th and 16th, is local company No Ropes with The Open Couple, Dario Fo and France Rama’s sharp marital comedy, which enjoyed a sell-out run earlier this year.
