Joe Canning’s late consolation goal closed the gap back to four, but in reality Kilkenny were much further ahead at the end that the scoreboard suggested.

U-21 hurlers face Limerick in All-Ireland semi-final 

The Galway u-21 hurling panel, including senior stars from last Sunday's wonderful win over Tipperary, Jason Flynn, Cathal Mannion and Conor Whelan, will head to Semple Stadium this Saturday for the All-Ireland semi-final against Munster champions Limerick (6pm).
