Rower-Inistioge’s Kieran Joyce won €500 worth of training gear for his GAA club at Parnell Park when he won the first ever Bord Gáis Energy Crossbar Challenge.  The event took place at half time during the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling U-21 Leinster Final when the Cats were also successful in beating Dublin by four points to win the trophy for a second year in a row.

Although the annual Vintage Rally has been held in Inistioge for many years this is just the second time that Inistioge has been chosen to hold the All-Ireland Rally, the first being in 2002.
