Mayo County Council Writer in Residence is a partnership between Mayo County Council Arts Service, Mayo County Council Library Service and the Heinrich Böll Cottage Achill, with funding from Creative Ireland. The Residency aligns to the Creative Ireland Programme Pillar – Enabling Creativity in Every Community.

Samir’s practice evolves from a transdisciplinary approach incorporating drawing, painting, sculptural, and video elements, and this award is a recognition of his achievements as an outstanding student.
