The decision by George Lee to not only resign from his seat in Dáil Eireann but to resign from the Fine Gael party has thrown Enda Kenny’s leadership of the party into question. George Lee to speak on Lisbon Treaty at Castlebar public meeting

Fine Gael Leader Enda Kenny TD has invited newly elected Fine Gael TD George Lee to speak at a public meeting in Castlebar. The meeting will focus on the Lisbon Treaty and specifically Europe and jobs. It is taking place at the TF Royal Hotel in Castlebar on Monday September 28 at 8pm. The Fine Gael MEP for Ireland North West Jim Higgins will also be speaking at the meeting.

Kenny declares public meeting prior to Lisbon vote a huge success

Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny, TD, has welcomed the success of the recent public meeting on the Lisbon Treaty held in the TF Royal Hotel in Castlebar. The meeting was hosted by Jim Higgins MEP with Dep George Lee as the guest speaker. The attendance at the meeting was very encouraging as the room was full to capacity and showing the interest in the event.
