Eason is reminding Westmeath Primary Schools that the closing date for entries into the Eason Spelling Bee with Tubridy is approaching. Westmeath Primary Schools have until Friday May 20 to register to take part in the Eason Spelling Bee, Ireland’s first national spelling challenge in association with Ryan Tubridy on RTE 2FM.

O'Loughlin Gaels displayed excellent fighting spirit to overcome a gallant Erin's Own in round two of the 2011 St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Championship, played in Ballyragget on Friday last. O'Loughlin’s started very slowly. They were unsure and were like a team a bit off the pace.

Brian Kennedy back at the Royal for Bank Holiday show

If there were a special award for being multi-gifted then Brian Kennedy would surely walk away with it. A critically acclaimed singer/songwriter, and proven radio/television presenter, he is now also acknowledged as an author of considerable worth. The common denominator of all his talents is easy to spot. Brian has performed in The Royal Theatre before but it has been many years and people are certainly looking forward to his Bank Holiday show on Saturday June 4 at 9pm.
