Rugby star calls on Galway to support GOAL Jersey Day

Irish rugby star and GOAL patron Jamie Heaslip is encouraging schoolchildren and workers from all over Galway to take part in GOAL Jersey Day on Friday October 7. One of the country’s most popular annual fundraising events, GOAL Jersey Day invites members of the public to wear the jersey of their favourite team for the day and make a suggested donation of €2 to GOAL. Each year, thousands of Irish schools and companies take part right across Ireland.

Heather Greally from Oranmore has been announced as the winner of the one year scholarship at Stagecoach Theatre. The 12-year-old is in first year at Calasanctius College in Oranmore and has already proven to be an accomplished performer. A student of speech and drama for six years, she has collected three higher achiever awards from the Irish Academy of Music.
